Oh, I see: That means that I chose specifically to sell my photos only through Dreamstime, and not through any other agency. The way it works is that you can choose to be exclusive meaning that you will get a higher percentage of sales. The prices I mentioned are the actual prices that I get per photo sold. Since I am exclusive I get 60% of what Dreamstime makes. If I choose not to be exclusive I would receive 50%. The rules would stay the same.
Keep in mind that the photos will in NO WAY become property of Dreamstime. They will remain yours at all time, and you can remove them whenever you want.

I am not affiliated with that site.
When I was looking for Stock agencies I read about and tried many different ones. I found that Dreamstime was the fastest growing site, and according to many (I can't confirm this) they also pay the most per photo-download. My experience and reason that I stayed with them, and not with others is because they accept new photo-uploads easier as they offer a wider variety. Many sites only would like to have e.g. photos of business people.

I wasn't even aware that they offer a program like that.

Every photo you upload to there site will be revised to check if they have potential to sell and if there is no copyright infringement (make sure that nowhere in the photos a trademark appears; e.g. someone who wheres Nike shoes -> you need to clone out the Nike logo). If they determine that all is okay, then they will add the photo to your gallery.

I posted on a few other forums that I visit from time to time for the same reason. I think it's a pity that people have such excellent photos and don't do anything with them, so I'd like to make them aware for such things.

At cat shows I would use flash, but make sure you use a large diffuser.

diffuser...and SLR ...and you do have them, but I have Olympus 5050z with internal flash...so I try to take Cats photos without flash, as Cats do not like flash Cool

That's why I use a diffuser. It will create more light from the front, but without the harsh bright light coming from the flash. Also make sure you are at a comfortable (for the cat) distance.

I see that your camera has a mount for an external flash. That would be preferred. I know the also sell diffusers for on-board flashes. maybe you can check for that. They should be something like $10.

I would contact them and ask if you can snap some photos. There is a contact number in the "about" section.
The festival seems pretty cool.

Even when they say that you are not allowed to not take any pictures, sometimes they give you a sort of a press-pass so you get the rights to take pictures.
I haven't been at the Mermaid Parade. I kinda forgot about it. This year has been slow for me with the parades. The only parade I've been to was the Gay Pride parade, and made a lot of business out of that.

I was taking pictures of Mermaid parade at 2006 http://www.cityphotolab.com/gal/thumbnails.php?album=492, and this year, but this year I'm not very satisfied with the pictures, so...

Business like photo selling or what...? Cool
